Step 7: Squaring Rear Axle
Using the rear axle alignment tool, place solidly against right side framerail and against back crossmember. Spin top and bottom right rear radius rods with equal turns until axle reaches alignment tool. Repeat same process for left rear. Once axle reaches tool at 5 inches and measurement on left rear from framerail to square is at 2 inches (or 8 1/4 for the newest BR1 chassis) as shown in step 4, lock all jam nuts down. Rear axle squaring is complete.
The inside measurement between birdcages should measure 23 inches for pavement, and 21 or 22 inches for dirt depending on preference. With a new style Bullrider axle, all 3 measurements are grooved into the axle for birdcage placement.
Note: When choosing to run the birdcage at 22" for dirt, the top of RR shock must be in outside hole of shock mount. If choosing 21" measurement, top of RR shock should be in inner most hole if available on your chassis.
